Ralph Shearing, P.Geol. - President, CEO, Corporate Secretary and Director

Mr. Shearing is a graduate of the University of British Columbia holding a B. Sc. Geology Degree. Since graduating in 1981, Mr. Shearing has practiced his profession as a professional geologist throughout Canada, and internationally. He has been directly involved in several world class exploration and development projects in British Columbia, Canada. During an active mineral exploration and development career, Mr. Shearing has gained hands-on experience in all aspects of mineral exploration, including, geophysics, geochemistry, geology and diamond core drilling, the latter as a senior partner of a successful contract diamond drilling company. In 1986, Mr. Shearing founded Soho Resources Corp. a junior resource and development company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Shearing's experience managing and directing publicly listed companies over the last 22 years, combined with his practical experience in implementing major exploration projects, gives Soho Resources Corp. a director with unique insight, invaluable practical experience, and a well rounded business approach to a junior resource company.

Art Freeze, P. Geo. - Director

Art Freeze - Director    

Mr. Freeze has extensive experience in mining development programs and evaluating projects for both senior and junior resource companies. He has held consulting, supervising, and management positions with major and junior mining companies including: Cominco Ltd., Pasminco Exploration, Echo Bay Mines and Pan American Silver Corporation. He has extensive international experience in North, Central and South America, and in the former Soviet Republics. Currently he is President of Stillwater Enterprises Limited and until recently he was the principal Consulting Geologist for Goldcorp Inc. Mr. Freeze has over 41 years of experience as an exploration and production geologist. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

 

William Carl (Bill) Howald - Director

Mr. Howald obtained a B. Sc. in geological engineering at the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology (Montana School of Mines) in 1985. He has over twenty years of experience in the international gold exploration and the mining industry, gained primarily in the United States and Latin America. He worked for senior producers Newmont Mining, Phelps Dodge Mining, and most recently, Placer Dome (now Barrick Gold Corporation). During his 15 years with Placer Dome, Mr. Howald managed and led exploration teams that delivered more than 80 million ounces of gold and gold-equivalent resources. As Placer Dome’s former Exploration Manager for the U.S. and Latin America, he provided strategic direction to resource growth at the Cortez Hills, Turquoise Ridge, Pueblo Viejo, Donlin Creek, Cerro Casale and Puren projects. He is a co-founder and director of a publically held precious-metals company working in Nevada, USA, and owns a consulting business based in Reno, Nevada.

John Lynch, Director

Mr. John Lynch is a businessman with extensive expertise in corporate management and administration as well as experience in corporate governance. Mr. Lynch has been a member of both private and publicly traded organizations, and has worked well with several public companies in the resource sector. Mr. Lynch is currently President and CEO and a director of NWT Uranium Corp., a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") based in Toronto, Ontario. John also serves on the Board of Directors of URU Metals, an AIM listed public company and is a founder of Hana Mining Ltd. He was also a former defensive back with the Canadian Football League's Ottawa Roughriders.

John Anderson, B.A. - Director

Mr. John Anderson has been an advisor to the Company since 1998 and has over 20 years experience in the financing and promotion of small to mid-cap public companies. He is currently President of Purple Fish Capital Management, a private equity firm engaged in the financing of both private and public companies in North America, Europe and Asia. He is also a director on the boards of other junior resource companies. Mr. Anderson holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.

Lianxi Zhang, B.Sc. Chemical Engineering – Director

Mr. Zhang graduated in 1980 from Geological College of Hebei Province, China holding a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Zhang then served as Department and General Manager for Tangshan XinGuang Ltd a developer of coal mines in the North Eastern part of China. Mr. Zhang assisted that company in evaluating coal projects as well as the oversight of project operations. In 1990, Mr. Zhang founded Tianjin LanDe Investment Co. Ltd. (“Tianjin”), involved in coal mine development, real estate development and direct equity investments in a number of domestic and foreign companies. Tianjin has established itself as one of the most recognizable investment holding companies in Tianjin City, China and holds investment interests in a number of Chinese and international publicly traded companies. It has established an excellent working relationship with a number of regional banks and investment funds. Mr. Zhang currently serves as President and CEO of the company

Yao Sun, B.Comm., CFA, CMA, CPA – Director, Vice President - Asia Pacific Region

Mr. Yao Sun graduated from the University of BC with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2005. He is an active member of the CFA Institute, the Certified Management Accountants (CMA) of Canada and the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) of Australia. Upon graduation from UBC, Mr. Sun was a financial analyst with Citic Media Group in Beijing, China. He is currently V.P. Finance with M.Y. Perspective Canada Investment & Consulting Ltd., a Canadian company which provides advisory services to Canadian & Chinese public companies.
